ショーティ・ロジャース&アンドレ・プレヴィン / コラボレイション

大名盤「マイフェアレディ」を出す前のプレヴィンがアレンジしたウェスト・コースト風のビッグバンド・ジャズで、1954年の録音。才人なのはわかるが、あまりどうということのない作品。プレヴィンは1929年生まれだから、当時30代半ばだったことになるが、この頃にクラシック音楽の巨匠に大化けすると思った人はいなかったに違いない。右がアメリカ盤、左がポルトガル語表記のブラジル盤だが、これは文句なくブラジル盤の装丁が秀逸。他にもいろいろジャケット違いで出ているようだ（下）。
